Heat in the Blood - Deficiency Heat

Formulas and Herbs:

  • Bao Yin Jian (Sheng Di, Shu Di, Huang Qin, Huang Bai, Bai Shao, Shan Yao, Xu Duan, Gan Cao)

Modifications:

  • With heavy bleeding: + Hai Piao Xiao, Xian He Cao
  • With spotting: Pu Huang, San Qi
  • With Yin Deficiency Yang Kan + Gui Ban, Long Gu
  • With long time bleeding (Qi + Yin Deficiency): + Sheng Mai San (Ren Shen, Mai Men Dong, Wu Wei Zi) or + Huang Qi, Bei Sha Shen

  • With spotting: + Ai Ye, Jing Jie Tan, Xiao Hui Xiang
  • With Kidney and Spleen Yang Deficiency: + Dang Shen, Fu Ling, Sha Ren
  • With young girls: + Zhi He Ce, Xian Mao, Xian Ling Pi/Yin Yang Huo

  • With Yin Deficiency Yang Kan: + Bai Shao, Xia Ku Cao, He Shou Wu
  • With HT Yin Deficiency with Kidney Yin Deficiency: + Wu Wei Zi, Suan Zao R

Spleen Qi Deficiency

  • With heavy Beng: + Jing Jie Tan, Chi Shi Zhi

  • With Blood Deficiency: + He Shou Wu, Hei Dou, E Jiao
  • With palpitations: + Wu Wei Zi, Mai Men Dong,

  • LIV-3 to soften Liver
  • With very cold/pale patient: Moxa REN-4

Blood Stagnation - Xue Yu

Formulas and Herbs:

  • Shi Xiao Si Wu Tang (Shu Di, Bai Shao, Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Wu Ling Zhi, Pu Huang) + Qing Cao Gen, Hai Piao Xiao

Modifications:

  • With heavy Beng: Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, + Yi Mu Cao, Xue Yu Tan
  • With spotting: + San Qi, Tao Ren
  • With Qi Stagnation > Blood Stagnation: + Chai Hu, Yu Jin, Chuan Lian Zi
  • With long time bleeding (Qi and Blood Deficiency): + Dang Shen, Huang Qi, Bai Zhu
  • Alternate: Tao Hong Si Wu Tang, modify accordingly

Acupuncture Points:

  • REN-3,4,6
  • Ear Points: Zigong, internal circulation
