Actions

Eliminates Heat and Stops Diarrhea
For Damp-Heat diarrhea or dysentery, especially if Blood is present.
Clears Heat in the Liver Channel and Clears the Eyes
For cataracts, redness, swelling and pain due to Liver heat.
Clears Wind-Damp
For painful obstruction from heat.

Contraindications and Cautions

Contraindicated in cases of cold from deficiency of the spleen and stomach. Traditionally reported to antagonize Fructus Evodiae Rutaecarpae (wu zhu yu).
