Actions

  • Eliminates Heat and Stops Diarrhea
    For Damp-Heat diarrhea or dysentery, especially if Blood is present.
  • Clears Heat in the Liver Channel and Clears the Eyes
    For cataracts, redness, swelling and pain due to Liver heat.
  • Clears Wind-Damp
    For painful obstruction from heat.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • Contraindicated in cases of cold from deficiency of the spleen and stomach. Traditionally reported to antagonize Fructus Evodiae Rutaecarpae (wu zhu yu).
