Actions

  • Dispels Wind and Stops Pain
    For external Wind-Cold, especially with sinus or yang Ming headache, supra-orbital pain and sinus congestion.
  • Reduces Pus and Swelling
    For early stages of surface level sores. This herb can reduce swelling and/or help to discharge pus.
  • Also used for damp and discharge in the Lower Jiao.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • This herb is drying, do not use in cases of Yin and Blood Deficiency.
  • Traditional sources say this herb antagonizes Flos Inulae (Xuan Fu Hua).
