Actions

  • Sedates Heart Fire and Calms the Spirit
    For heat transferring into the pericardium channel causing delirium, restlessness, confusion, and irritability. Also used to alleviate thirst, temporarily lower Blood pressure, and help insomnia.
  • Stops Bleeding and Astringes the Essence
    Used as a powder for vomiting Blood, tongue ulcerations, and spermatorrhea.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • Do not use in cases of constipation or abdominal masses.
