- Warms the Lungs, Expels Phlegm, and Regulates Qi
For Cold Phlegm Stagnation with symptoms such as cough, thin, profuse, clear or white sputum, wheezing and dyspnea, or neck and upper thorax pain caused by cold phlegm obstruction at the diaphragm. - Regulates Qi, Opens the Channels, Dissipates Nodules, and Alleviates Pain
For Phlegm Cold obstruction in the Channels causing body aches, joint pain, phlegm type masses, scrofula, Yin type Boils, and bed sores.
Contraindications and Cautions
- Do not use in cases with chronic cough due to Lung Deficiency, in Yin Deficiency with Heat signs, or Stomach Fire.
- This herb may irritate the skin, cause allergic reactions, or blisters if used topically.
- This herb may cause diarrhea if taken internally in large amounts.
- Keep this herb away from the eyes.
