Actions

  • Relieves Summerheat
    For excessive sweating, fever, and irritability due to Summerheat.
  • Raises the Clear Yang of the Spleen
    Especially effective in treating diarrhea due to Summerheat, Spleen deficiency, or in recovering from Summerheat.
  • Stops Bleeding
    For bleeding in the Lower Jiao from heat or stagnation, and for vomiting Blood.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • Caution when bleeding is due to cold from deficiency. This herb may counteract Sclerotium Poriae Cocos (fu ling).
