Actions

  • Drains Heat and Fire
    For febrile diseases with thirst, fever, and a yellow tongue coating. Also for Summerheat with the above symptoms.
  • Used for Burns and Sores
    For ulcers in the mouth, to relieve sore throat or swollen tonsils, and used topically for burns and scalds.

Contraindications and Cautions

  • Caution in cases without true heat, or in cases of cold from deficiency of the spleen and stomach.
