Actions

Drains Heat and Fire
For febrile diseases with thirst, fever, and a yellow tongue coating. Also for Summerheat with the above symptoms.
Used for Burns and Sores
For ulcers in the mouth, to relieve sore throat or swollen tonsils, and used topically for burns and scalds.

Contraindications and Cautions

Caution in cases without true heat, or in cases of cold from deficiency of the spleen and stomach.
