Actions
- Dries Damp, Transforms Phlegm, Expels Wind, and Stops Spasms
For wind-stroke conditions, tremors, convulsions, facial paralysis, hemiplegia, bells palsy, epilepsy, tetanus, and migraines. - Eliminates Toxicity and Dissipates Toxicity
For scrofula, snake bites, and other nodules due to phlegm and toxicity. Usually used topically for these conditions. - Expels Wind-Cold-Damp and Stops Pain
Numbness, joint and muscle aches and pains, dizziness, and severe lateral headaches due to Cold-Damp or Wind-Damp conditions.
Contraindications and Cautions
- Do not use during pregnancy.
- Do not use in Yin deficient heat conditions.
- Do not use in heat stroke caused by Liver fire.
- Fresh Bai Fu Zi is toxic: Use only externally.
