Actions:

- Spreads Liver Qi, unblocks the channels, and relieves pain.
Indications:
- Chronic headache, sharp and fixed chest and hypochondria pain, constant hiccups, a sensation of choking when drinking, dry heaves, irritability, depression, restlessness, restless sleep, insomnia, palpitations, dysmenorrhea, evening tidal fever, and possible purple lips or complexion (cyanosis)
Possible Tongue Appearance:
- Dark red or purple tongue with dark spots on the sides of the tongue, possible yellow coat
Possible Pulse Patterns:
- Tight and wiry pulse
- Choppy pulse

- Coronary Heart Disease
- Angina Pectoris

Cautions, Contraindications, Herb Drug Interactions:
- As this formula moves blood, do not use during pregnancy, or with patients who have heavy menstrual flow
- Do not use when there are signs of hemorrhaging present.
