Indications:
- Anxiety, irritability, palpitations, fatigue, insomnia, easily wakened, restless sleep, inability to think clearly, trouble with concentration, poor memory, forgetfulness, nocturnal emissions, dry throat and mouth, and possible mouth and tongue sores
Possible Tongue Appearance:
- Red tongue with little coat

Cautions, Contraindications, Herb Drug Interactions:
- The original formula contains toxic substances (Cinnabar) and thus should not be taken for long periods of time This formula can now be found without Cinnabar.
- This formula is cloying and should be avoided in cases of Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency and Damp-Phlegm accumulation.
Preparation Notes:
- Pills. Grind all herbs into an even powder and use honey to form into pills. The pills were traditionally coated with Zhu Sha.
- Take 9 grams, 2-3 times a day with warm water on an empty stomach.
- Double or triple the dosage of Dang Shen is commonly substituted for Ren Shen
- Appropriately reduce dosages to prepare a decoction.
