Actions:

  • Enriches and nourishes Kidney and Liver Yin

Indications:

  • Weakness and soreness in the lower back and knees
  • Lightheadedness, dizziness, or vertigo, tinnitus or hearing loss, nocturnal emissions, night sweats, chronic sore and/or dry throat, hot palms and soles, painful or difficult scanty urination, wasting and thirsting, and tidal fever.

Possible Tongue Appearance:

  • Red tongue with little coat

Possible Pulse Patterns:

  • Thin and rapid pulse

  • Retarded Growth of Children

Cautions, Contraindications, Herb Drug Interactions:

  • As this formula is cloying, it should be avoided in cases of diarrhea due to Spleen Qi deficiency, or Damp-Phlegm conditions with a white greasy coat
