- Unbinds the chest and benefits the lateral costal region
Indications:
- Pain in the chest and hypochondriac region, asthma, general aching and weakness.
Notes:
- Some texts locate SP-21 (Da Bao) in the 6th intercostal space, while other locate it in the 7th intercostal space.
Location
CAM:
- On the lateral side of the chest and on the middle axillary line, in the 6th intercostal space.
AMOA:
- On the mid-axillary line, in the seventh intercostal space.
Needling Method:
- Puncture obliquely 0.3-0.5 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
