Acupuncture Points on the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel)

Meeting Point of the Conception, Penetrating and Governing Vessels
Sun Si-miao Ghost Point

Actions:

Regulates the anterior and posterior yin
Drains damp heat
Calms the spirit
Promotes resuscitation and revives from drowning

Indications:

Vaginitis, retention of urine hemorrhoids, nocturnal emission, enuresis, irregular menstruation, mental disorders.

Location (CAM):

Between the anus and the root of the scrotum in males and between the anus and the posterior labial commissure in females.

Location (AMOA):

At the perineum, midway between the anus and the scrotum in men, and the anus and the posterior labial commissure in women.

Needling Method:

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
