Indications:
- Eye diseases. Short sightedness, inflammation or atrophy of the optic nerve, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, convergent strabismus.
Location
AMOA:
- Along the inferior border of the orbit, at the junction of the lateral one quarter and medial three quarters of the infra-orbital margin.
Needling Method:
- Ask the patient to close their eyes and look upwards. Use a finger to push the eyeball upwards and insert the needle, first slightly inferiorly, then perpendicularly, between the eyeball and the inferior wall of the orbit, 0.5 to 1 cun.
