Acupuncture Points on the Du Mai (Governing Vessel)

Actions:

Clears heat
Regulates the Governing vessel
Tonifies the Kidneys
Benefits the lumbar spine

Indications:

Stiffness of the back, lumbago, impotence, nocturnal emission, irregular menstruation, diarrhea, indigestion, leukorrhea.

Location (CAM):

Below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra.

Location (AMOA):

On the midline of the lower back, in the depression below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra.

Needling Method:

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
