Actions:
  • Regulates Qi and pacifies wind
  • Benefits the head and sensory orifices
  • Calms the spirit
  • Activates the channel and alleviates pain
Indications:
  • Headache, nasal obstruction, sore throat, neck rigidity, pain in the shoulder and back.
Location (CAM):
  • 1.3 cun lateral to the midpoint of the posterior hairline and in the depression on the lateral aspect of m. trapezius.
Location (AMOA):
  • On the lateral aspect of the trapezius muscle, 1.3 cun lateral to Yamen DU-15.
Needling Method:
  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 inch.
