Point of the Window of Heaven

Actions:

Regulates Qi and pacifies wind
Benefits the head and sensory orifices
Calms the spirit
Activates the channel and alleviates pain

Indications:

Headache, nasal obstruction, sore throat, neck rigidity, pain in the shoulder and back.

Location (CAM):

1.3 cun lateral to the midpoint of the posterior hairline and in the depression on the lateral aspect of m. trapezius.

Location (AMOA):

On the lateral aspect of the trapezius muscle, 1.3 cun lateral to Yamen DU-15.

Needling Method:

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 inch.
